Since we began signing cards in September, each week hundreds of graduate workers have been signing Union cards and coming together to talk about how a union can help make a better Harvard.
On Thursday, Oct 15th, we held a #WeAreWorkers event, part of a national day of action by graduate employees unions, where graduate workers met to hear from grads in all of the schools on campus, as well as from community supporters.
Lydia Edwards drew on her experience with domestic 
workers to talk about the struggle for recognition of work as work, and the parallel struggle of graduate students to have our contributions to Harvard recognized.
Dr. Elaine Bernard spoke
about what a union is, how HUCTW has made Harvard better, and why HGSU-UAW will help even more.
